Mario Balotelli will go head-to-head with his former teammates during pre-season after AC Milan drew Manchester City in the semi-finals of the Audi Cup in Munich.
The often-controversial Italy striker moved to the San Siro in January in a £19million deal, ending an eventful three years in Manchester.
Now he is set to face his former club for the first time on July 31 in the pre-season competition at the Allianz Arena.

Big move: Balotelli moved from Manchester City to AC Milan for a fee in the region of £20million in January
Hosts and European Champions Bayern Munich will play Brazilian club Sao Paulo in the other semi-final on the same evening.
Balotelli has been in excellent form since his return to Italy, scoring 12 goals in 13 Serie A appearances as opposed to just one in 14 Premier League games during the first half of the season.
International duty: Balotelli is currently playing for Italy in the Confederations Cup in Brazil
Better luck this time: Carlos Tevez refused to get off the subs’ bench during City’s last visit to the Allianz Arena
City’s last visit to the Allianz Arena was back in 2011, when they lost 2-0 to Bayern in the group stages of the Champions League.
This was the night Carlos Tevez refused to come off the substitutes’ bench, leading to a five-month spell of ‘gardening leave’.
As well as Balotelli, City could come up against another former player in Nigel De Jong.
Munich is just one stop-off in City’s pre-season programme, which also features a tour of South Africa, two games in the Barclays Asia Trophy in Hong Kong, and a trip to Helsinki to face Arsenal.
