Sinclair and Barry left behind in Manchester as City fly to Helsinki… but no bids on the table yet for unwanted men

Manchester City have yet to receive a bid from West Bromwich Albion for winger Scott Sinclair, 24, who is also wanted by Newcastle and Everton.

He stayed behind to train in Manchester while City’s match squad travelled to Helsinki on Friday night.

Midfielder Gareth Barry, linked with Arsenal and Stoke, and Barcelona target Denis Suarez, 19, also remained in Manchester.

Asked if they are now set to leave the club, the manager Manuel Pellegrini said: ‘We’ll see next week. Scott Sinclair is not here with the squad.

‘Scott is in Manchester. Denis Suarez, Gareth Barry and Scott Sinclair are in Manchester.’

Pellegrini has not ruled out making another signing before the season starts with a centre-back still top of his list.
