There are a bumper six British entrants in the group stages this season in what should be a thrilling competition
TOTTENHAM and Celtic were the unluckiest of six British entrants after being drawn in nightmare groups.
But Europa League winners Manchester United and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be delighted with their results.
Visiting Spurs at Wembley will be Group H rivals Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and APOEL.
And Celtic do not fare much better, with Scotland’s only entrants up against Bayern Munich, Paris-Saint-Germain and Anderlecht to escape Group B.
Premier League champions Chelsea are in Group C with Atletico Madrid, Roma and Qarabag in a reasonable draw.
Jose Mourinho will face Benfica, Basel and CSKA Moscow in Group A and will expect to top the standings.
While five-time winners Liverpool must topple two of Spartak Moscow, Sevilla and Maribor in Group E.
Pep Gurdiola and Manchester City take on Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli and Feyenoord in Group F.
