Spain midfielder Jesus Navas has completed his £15million move from Sevilla to Manchester City, and says the Premier League is the best environment for him to progress as a player.

City have confirmed the deal, with Navas becoming their second signing of the summer after the £30m deal for Shakhtar midfielder Fernandinho last week.

The 27-year-old right winger has completed a medical in New York, where is with the Spanish national side ahead of their match with Ireland, and joins the City squad after the Confederations Cup.

‘I’m going to a great club in England and I want to continue developing my game there. The Club has put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay them out on the pitch.’

Navas made 393 appearances for Sevilla scoring 34 goals over the past nine seasons and has won six major trophies.
