Spain midfielder Jesus Navas has completed his £15million move from Sevilla to Manchester City, and says the Premier League is the best environment for him to progress as a player.
City have confirmed the deal, with Navas becoming their second signing of the summer after the £30m deal for Shakhtar midfielder Fernandinho last week.
The 27-year-old right winger has completed a medical in New York, where is with the Spanish national side ahead of their match with Ireland, and joins the City squad after the Confederations Cup.

Navas has so far won 23 caps for Spain, helping his country to win the 2010 World Cup and the European Championship two years later.
Navas met with former City midfielder Claudio Reyna, recently appointed New York City FC director of football, in the New York to complete the signing.
Navas told mcfc.com: ‘Manchester City is an exciting project and this is the right moment for me to take this step. I’m very happy with the opportunity and the decision.
‘The Premier League is a competition where the football is very fast and will suit the way I play. I’m really looking forward to it.
‘City have been successful in recent years and are continuing to make a great team and I’m honoured to now be a part of it.
‘I’m going to a great club in England and I want to continue developing my game there. The Club has put a lot of faith in me and I want to repay them out on the pitch.’
Navas made 393 appearances for Sevilla scoring 34 goals over the past nine seasons and has won six major trophies.
