London : Wadani party holds its largest meeting with supporters in Wood Green

The meeting was organised by the branches of the party in London. Huge number of  supporters arrived at Wood Green  halls to meet the leader of the opposition party who is also the speaker of Somaliland parliament.
The event was  an opportunity for the opposition party to wow the Somaliland people  in the Diaspora to support the just-cause of the party . Speakers at the event called for justice and development of the political structure of the country through strict guidance of  Somaliland constitution . Many among those who spoke at the event called upon the Somaliland government to respect freedom speech and free media. They condemned  the recent closure of the offices and websites of Haatuf and Somaliland Times  news papers.

The event was a kick starting of  the party’s political campaign for the next presidential  elections which is slated for  July 2015. This was also a wake-up call for the incumbent administration  to rectify  its mischief against the press and freedom of speech as well as to come clean out of the corruption allegations often talked about in the country.
