Presidential Elections Must Happen on Time, the Current Government Do not Deserve one Day Beyond their Constitutionally Mandated Time
Regarding the argument about the 2015 presidential elections, the Guurti were wrong and unlawful to stand besides the government and not besides the constitution, and the people. The Gurrti needs to execute their constitutionally mandated duty in the right way; otherwise the people will put them into account and deal with them accordingly.

They must act like a neutral consultative body, that do not side with any particular branch of the government. Across the board in Somaliland the people are demanding change why it is of paramount importance that the 2015 presidential elections should be held on time. The current government needs to leave office when their mandate is expired. If they were honest people, they would have to come to the airwaves, and tell the public that they are leaving office when their mandate expires. Keeping quiet from the proposed extension of their mandate beyond the legal date, means they are in favor of extension of their mandate which is illegal and unconstitutional. During their tenure, the current lackluster government has done some good things and a lot of bad things as well.

I will leave the totality of their time in power for historians to discuss, and debate, but I want to challenge them on the fact that they need to leave office as soon as their mandated time expired in 2015. If election did not take place in the said mandated time, they are no longer in a position to govern and they need to transfer power to a care taker government that stays in power until the presidential elections are to be held. I am urging the government not to run the clock. We do not have enough time to prepare the country and the person for the 2015 presidential election is an unacceptable lame excuse. The governing coterie has five years to prepare the country for the 2015 presidential elections. We do not have enough time is to hold the elections is a flimsy excuse which has to be rejected. I am urging the government to hold the presidential election on their designated time. Running the clock, and creating unnecessary tension and turmoil in the country, in order to stay in power is cynical, dishonest move, and the wrong route to take. They need not forget the country is a democracy, and they are democratically elected public figures.
